Mr Kanmin Xue MA (Oxon) MB BChir PhD (Cantab) FRCOphth is a Consultant Ophthalmologist and Vitreoretinal Surgeon at The Retina Clinic London.

He is also a clinician scientist at the University of Oxford and NHS Honorary Consultant Vitreoretinal Surgeon at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children. As a Wellome Trust Principal Investigator, he leads the Retinal Disease and Repair Group at the Nuffield Laboratory of Ophthalmology in Oxford.

He is dedicated to the advancement of therapies for inherited retinal diseases and participation in clinical trials.

Mr Xue graduated from Brasenose College Oxford with the top first class in Medicine, undertook an MB-PhD programme at Trinity College Cambridge, ophthalmology specialist training and NIHR Academic Clinical Lectureship in Oxford, and a vitreoretinal fellowship at the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital in Melbourne, Australia.

His achievements have been recognised by numerous awards, including the Martin Wronker Prize in Medicine, Ian Fraser Cup, Luigi Barca Award, best of British & Eire Association of Vitreoretinal Surgeons (BEAVRS) award, and the Ruskell Medal.
